hey yall, well i haven't updated this thing in forever, but dana wanted to update it, so Dana this is for you. well we moved from texas to rhode island. we stopped at a bunch of places on the way up here like canton in texas, kentucky, tunica in mississippi, cedar point in ohio (so fun!), and i spent a few days at my cousin's house in lousiana. it was so much fun! but i am so done with travelling for awhile.

next week I'll be sixteen! YAY! My super sweet sixteen.. i've been waiting forever for it. it's not gonna be this huge thing because my dad is in virginia right now for school and i dont know anybody here yet so i cant invite people! my mom and my sisters (and me obviously) are probably just gonna go get manicures and pedicures, go shopping, and my mom wants me to get my haircut before school starts. we'll probably go out to eat for dinner too. then on the 13th (of august) we're gonna have my party and combine it with my brother's since his is in august too. my dad'll be home by then and my aunt and uncle in connecticut and grandparents in new york might go. MIGHT. i hope they do but it all depends on their schedules..

speaking of those, school starts soon -_- well not that soon for but for alot of people. i still have a month and a few weeks left of summer. school officially starts for me on september 6th but we got our reading/writing assignments a few days ago. my sister and i have to read two books and write a report on one of them. i big like the biggest books on the list.. one is called a walk in the woods: rediscovering america on the appalachian trail and the other is called flag of our fathers. they're both really good, but HUGE. the walk in the woods one has 300 something pages and the flags of our fathers has like 500. and basically i'm no where near done :( ahh i hate high school.

well it's thundering right now and there's supposed to be a huge storm so i'm gonna go before the power goes out and erases everything like it did a few days ago -_-

Glamour Follows Her Everywhere ©

I really hate my hair sometimes. I recently dyed my hair black a few weeks ago (I dont know what I was thinking) and I wanted to dye my hair back to brown because my roots started to come in. Plus I missed being a Brunette  Only my ROOTS got dyed.. the rest of my hair is still black. It looks absolutely ridiculous. I look like I belong to the freaking circus. I need to stop dying my hair.. it's like falling out.. like I have cancer or something hahaa. But I'm gonna fix my hair so it's ALL brown.. then I'll stop... I promise

So yesterday was my sister's 14th birthday. She's catching up to me, yall  I was going to use some of the money I got for Christmas to buy her a gift, but she refused. She said she'd rather take me with her to get our nails done. So we did. I got the acryllic American manicure with shimmery baby pink tips. They turned out soo pretty, except the lady who did my nails kept making my bleed. I was like, lady I kinda need that skin. We got there around 5 PM and left at  7 PM. We were in there for 2 hours.. mostly waiting. The wait was worth it though. I love my nails.. even though it takes me like 5 minutes longer to do stuff than it normally would. Like when I dropped my CD on the floor.. omg it took me like 10 minutes just to pick it up off the ground.. hahaa.

I still have no idea what I'm doing for New Year's Eve/Day. Normally I dont see the big deal of having somewhere to go for this day but I do not wanna stay home this year. Ashlley might come spend the night over at my house & celebrate the new year or vice versa. We've been planning this out for awhile now & we wanna egg/T.P. some bitch's house. She's screwed us over many times, and after what she did to me not too long ago, I've had enough of it. So she's gonna get what she deserves  Knowing my luck I'll get got and then be grounded for the rest of my human existence but it'll be so worth it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YALL!

I hope everyone (who celebrates it) had an awesome Christmas. It's so depressing for me, because now that I'm getting older I dont believe in half the things I used to when I was a kid. Sometimes I wish I can just go back to those days, but time has to move on! As you get older the presents get smaller, and more expensive, but it's not about the presents at all. I dont wanna grow up!

My dad wasn't able to be home for the holidays, so that was kinda depressing, and I also found out his mom (my ma'maw) has emphazema (spelling?!) and apparently she's not doing so well, sooo that doesn't exactly make me happy either.

Well yesterday we got to open 2 presents this time instead of one. I got the Ryan Cabrera 'You Stand Watching' CD and lipgloss from my aunt & uncle in Connecticut and a diamond ring, Mike Ike flavored lip balm & Bubble Gum flavored lip balm from my sister Ashley!

This morning I was forced out of bed around 7:30 in the morning to see what Santa brought me! I didn't wanna get up.. haha. We had to open our stockings first then our mom just had to make a huge breakfast & then we finally got to open our presents. I got:

Stocking:
*"The Clique" (it's a book)
*Raspberry Vanilla body butter/pink bath scrub
*'Drama Queen' mints
*Pink & red Kittylicious toe socks (love them!)

*Pebbles 'Lil Angel' boyshort underwear (haha, you know Pebbles from The Flinstones?)
*Mary-Kate & Ashley pink sparkling eye powder & sequin dust

Presents:

*Superlow bootcut jeans (ugh, they're so frustrating.. everytime I bend over they like fall off haha)
*A really pretty black flower sequin 'special ocassion' purse
*'Love Spell' body lotion, shower gel & perfume from Victoria's Secret
*$35.00 from my ma'maw & pa'paw (it was either 30 or 35 dollars.. I cant remember)
*Black sequin handbag
*'Think Pink' bath set from my other sister Sarah
*Pink cosmetics case
*A whole bunch of Cover Girl TruBlend cosmetics
*CUTE new pajamas that say 'Amor' on the pants & 'Corazon' on the tank top
*Lacy baby blue & baby pink bra
*Red boyshort underwear with a black silky tie
*Spa kit
*Paul Frank shirt (it's SO cute.. I'll have to get a pic of it)
*Silky brown & pink polka dot tank top (SO adorable)
*Foot scrubby thing
*A bunch of lipgloss
*Candy Land :D
*Strawberry scented bath set from Ashlley
*Playboy Bunny earrings & SOAP CANDY (inside joke) from Nikki
*Brown hair dye that I already used (I'm a Brunette again.. YAY!)

I loved EVERYTHING I got! Overall, it was a good Christmas. Next year will be even better now that I get to spend it with my dad & some other family. Just a whole nother year to go

Read this.. it nearly made me cry..

A CHRISTMAS POEM

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON

A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM

THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

This poem was written by a Marine. The
following is his request. I think it is reasonable.....

PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favor of sending
this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon
and some credit is due to our U.S. service men and women for our being
able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a
tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living
and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.

Aww! I got that through an email my friend sent me. It almost made me cry as I said before. It's a shame that all people care about is stupid stuff like how much a certain celebrity weighs or who is dating who when we have soldiers fighting & dying overseas everyday for us. My DAD is one of them!

I did NOT write that poem ((obviously)).

xoxo

Jess
